The Falcon is with you wherever you and your Visa card go. It’s a powerful, FREE new feature of your MICU Visa Credit, Check, and ATM card.

The Falcon Fraud detection system monitors your card activity to help identify and prevent fraudulent transactions on your account.

Here’s how it works.
If a questionable transaction is detected on your account, an analyst from Visa Fraud Prevention Services may contact you to verify the transaction. You will be asked to verify information. To do this the analyst will give partial information regarding your identity and address and ask you to provide the rest to verify who you are.

For example, the analyst may ask if your current address is on Main Street in Bloomington, Illinois, and then, with a positive response, ask you to verify your house number and zip code.

With Falcon fraud detection service you can rest assured you are being protected every time you use your credit card. This is just another way MICU extends financial convenience and superior member-focused service to you.

What if potentially fraudulent activity is detected?
The transaction may be declined or you may receive a telephone call or letter requesting verification of purchases. If the transaction was fraudulent, your card will be blocked and a new card issued immediately. If you are contacted by the Falcon service center, they are calling to verify transactions for your protection so that your MICU card will remain secure. If you receive a message from the Falcon service center, contact them at 800.377.1809.

For example…
Abby, a teacher, makes occasional, small purchases with her credit card in Central Illinois. She would have a different purchasing pattern than Steve, a computer company vice president who always uses his credit card for business trips around the world. If a $3,000 purchase is made in Singapore on both accounts, the teacher’s account is more likely to be examined.

If I am called by Falcon, what will they ask?
Falcon service center representative will verify your identity and question one or more transactions for validity. The Falcon representative will never ask you for your credit, ATM or check card number.
