Banzai Financial Literacy

Since 2010, Mid-Illini Credit Union has been proud to partner with the Banzai Financial Literacy program.
FREE to area teachers, this true-to-life, real world program lets your junior high, high school and even community college students manage a virtual online checking account.
The Life Scenarios workbooks, also provided FREE to area teachers who participate in this program, walk your students through a series of real-life situations that can throw off the best-laid budgets. Students learn to manage their money, despite the challenges.
Upon completing the Banzai program, students receive a certificate of achievement from Mid-Illini Credit Union, and a match for their first $25 deposit if they choose to open a checking account here at MICU.
Best of all, lesson plans and online assessment tools are provided to make the program easy to manage and teacher-friendly.
In addition to providing the Banzai Financial Literacy curriculum and support free of charge to local teachers, Mid-Illini Credit Union also offers classroom presentations for your students on financial topics like budgeting and managing credit.
